We enjoyed our stay and the accommodation was great. It could do with a refresh and some items need replacing in the kitchen. The place needed a better clean. It didn’t stop us having a great holiday and I left feedback with The host as we left. Had very little interaction with them during our stay and haven’t heard since. Simple things to update and I hope they do. The property is charming and the wood burner is a great feature.

Excellent holiday, cottage was perfectly situated for our linear walks on The Ridgeway. And good weather helped. The red kites and other wildlife nearby were the icing on the cake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn, and so did our two dogs. The fenced garden had comfortable chairs and allowed for sunny lunches. The house was well equipped with a modern kitchen, excellent beds and a good shower. We made long walks in the area a.o. along the canals and through the fields.

Great location, comfortable beds, lovely and quiet, nice friendly owners, we had a great time and would visit again. We just felt a little bit let down by the overall cleanliness and inside it was a bit dated in places.

The cottage and its situation and the views in particular are really lovely. It is well equipt and very comfortable. We were particularly grateful to the owners for putting up a Xmas tree for us. The one downside was the cold bedrooms and the heating system in the bedrooms. We had elderly parents with us who had real problems getting comfortable at night. If they fix this then the place will be lovely. Perhaps a TV or radio in the kitchen would be an enhancement.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Sorry to hear that you found the bedrooms cold. The heating in the bedrooms is by AC units and it does take a while to heat up. We do provide 2 free standing heaters which are stored in one of the eaves cupboards.
