We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn, and so did our two dogs. The fenced garden had comfortable chairs and allowed for sunny lunches. The house was well equipped with a modern kitchen, excellent beds and a good shower. We made long walks in the area a.o. along the canals and through the fields.

Great location, comfortable beds, lovely and quiet, nice friendly owners, we had a great time and would visit again. We just felt a little bit let down by the overall cleanliness and inside it was a bit dated in places.

The cottage and its situation and the views in particular are really lovely. It is well equipt and very comfortable. We were particularly grateful to the owners for putting up a Xmas tree for us. The one downside was the cold bedrooms and the heating system in the bedrooms. We had elderly parents with us who had real problems getting comfortable at night. If they fix this then the place will be lovely. Perhaps a TV or radio in the kitchen would be an enhancement.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Sorry to hear that you found the bedrooms cold. The heating in the bedrooms is by AC units and it does take a while to heat up. We do provide 2 free standing heaters which are stored in one of the eaves cupboards.

We enjoyed our stay in the barn at Inverwood farm very much. The cottage was warm, cosy and well laid out for both us and our two hounds. The Wi-Fi worked fine throughout our visit. The king size bed was comfy and the shower was great. The local town of Hungerford offers everything you could require from food to antiques and walks along the canal. Cobb's farm shop is also close by for great pies and produce. The area around the barn is lovely and rural but close to main roads so everything is easy to get to. Avebury stone circle is a good day out and the Caen hill flight of locks near Devizes is really worth a visit.

Brilliant! So when we got there we were greeted by the gentleman of the main house. Very nice man and asked us if we needed anything to let them know. The barn was fantastic. Only a couple of very minor things I would mention. The kettle needs replacing(lime scale) and the bed was far to soft for me. However I haven’t marked it down on this is as some people might prefer there bed that way. It’s a 10 minute drive to the village so I’d suggest bringing your food with you. Although there is a large Tesco in the village. The actual property was beautiful very nice cottage feel. I don’t think there was any items we needed that it didn’t have. Lovely garden for the dogs to run around in. However there isn’t a back door so we had to take the dogs out the front and through the gate. Which isn’t any distance at all but it meant having to go out with them every time to make sure they didn’t run off. Very relaxing holiday, very friendly hosts in the main house. I left a few bits behind and the lady phoned me and kindly offered to post them. We like to explore the uk and have stayed in a few places and wish they were all as lovely. Thank you!

We adored this cottage! Such a cosy place to stay for a lovely weekend catch up with friends. Dog loved it too! Beds very comfy, cosy fire and everything immaculate and easy to find. Lovely garden and the location was so peaceful. Village pub reasonably priced and good food and drink, and also dog friendly. Lots of lovely walks in the area and we took the opportunity to explore Savernake forest too. I can also recommend the Honesty Cafe at Inkpen. Discovered this on my last day and had a gorgeous coffee and cake before a bracing walk on the hills. We will be back!

We had a great time at the barn even though the weather was not kind to us. We found it to be comfortable, relaxing and just what we needed. Close to several attractive villages, walks, pubs, towns. We would like to visit again.
