We had a wonderful week at The Barn. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It was quite chilly in Dorset last week and the cottage was really warm and cosy. There’s a great pub just round the corner, a petrol station and Spar just up the road and a well stocked farm shop in East Stour just over a mile away. Can’t wait to return.

We found The Barn to be well appointed, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. There are lots of places of interest to visit within easy reach as well as many walks in the beautiful local scenery. We made good use of our National Trust membership as there are several houses nearby. We particularly enjoyed a walk round Giant Hill at Cerne Abbas. The local farm shop is well worth a visit too.

Great proximity to local pub and farm shop

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are quite surprised at the low score as when we met you said you had had a great holiday. Perhaps it was because we arrived at 10.00 am and you were not packed, it does state departure is by 10.00am as we have 5 hours of work before the next guest, also the rather unpleasant smell that was in the lounge has now gone, so apologies to the previous guest.
