From the truly lovely hosts to the comfort of the accommodation, this is a gem of a place to stay in. A twenty minute scenic walk to the beach (and The Hive cafe/restaurant), the village has two very good pubs, both with great menus. There’s also a small supermarket and a Post Office. There’s beautiful countryside is all around – make sure you explore the coast road (B3157) towards Weymouth – it’s stunning. If you need to stay in touch, the 4G signal (Vodafone) is excellent. I stayed for two weeks, and had a thoroughly relaxing time – definitely sorry to have to leave. Go stay!

Living in the same building as the owner, albeit the ground floor apartment is entirely self contained may, at first thought, be daunting. But the owners - Hazel and Arthur - were charming, knowledgeable and helpful keeping a low profile and never intrusive. Okay. So you will sometimes hear the floorboards creak above but people must walk in their own house. The apartment is small but big enough for two with a good shower, user friendly kitchen, the double bed is comfortable and the living room neat I liked the virtually traffic free area. The parking space. The ambience.
