Description

Detached from the owners’ home, this annex for four occupies a most desirable spot in Dorset.

Situated between Shaftesbury and Sherborne in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, The Acorns is a characterful annex for four, separate from the owners’ home in a peaceful, rural setting. There’s much to say about this beautiful area of Dorset; Shaftesbury is famous for its Gold Hill, and the historic market town of Sherborne features two castles and an abbey, making it a must-visit for history buffs. Within easy driving distance there are some superb family attractions to enjoy, such as Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Longleat House and Safari Park and more. Stourhead House and Gardens is well worth seeing, as is Salisbury Cathedral, and to the south, Sturminster Newton, Poole, Bournemouth and Blandford certainly won’t leave you short on things to do. There are scenic country walks in the area, fishing 2 miles away, and a number of local pubs to wine, dine and relax in. Beach 28 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

All on the ground floor.
Living/dining room: With electric coal-effect fire, 32" Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player and patio doors to patio.
Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With bunk bed.
Shower room: With shower cubicle.
Separate toilet.

Economy 7 central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. Garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is 1 step to the garden.

Excellent cottage to stay at. Owners were great even brought some games round for the children. Dorset apple cake on arrival very happy the children did not want any. All in all super happy with the cottage.

The cottage was extreemly well kitted out with all that was needed. Very comfortable sofas and the only reason we have given it a 9 was that a king size bed with a memory mattress would have made it perfect.

A lovely cottage, very clean and a decent amount of space with lovely welcoming hosts, and good facilities in a peaceful location. We had a really lovely stay here for my husbands birthday with our 15 month old and the hosts were very accomodating with a high chair and lovely travel cot. Only negative is I would say the photos on the site do not do the place justice as is alot nicer and bigger than the photos make out, which was very nice, but think the sites photos could do with updating to do the place justice.
