Tenth visit to this cottage. Each time we go there have always been improvements. This time there was a brand new kitchen and all new white goods and new modern radiators throughout so it was warm and cosy which was very welcome in the chilly weather ! The neighbours are helpful and friendly and the local shops cater for your every need.

Well equipped cosy and clean cottage - in good location to explore lots of the west coast, go walking, cycling or fishing or whatever takes your fancy . Be nicer if there was a real fire and there is a little decoration to be done by owas we understand it. But overall even without that it was a lovely peaceful location to spend the new year and a cosy place to do it.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my two children 8 & 5 as visiting family in the area. lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage, despite cold weather outside was always warm and enjoyed returning to it after days out. The wifi worked well which kept kids happy. The access road was fine, odd pothole but to be expected and not big enough to damage car. quiet but close to walks, scenery, shops, leisure centre etc. 10 minute walk to Cairnbarn hotel. The owner contacted me a few days before to arrange access and check in and out times and was very helpful. Will be booking again in a few months as perfect for me and kids. for those with young children, steep stairs as with most old terraces but noticed there was a stair gate in the under stairs storage.

Cottage was cosy and scenic, however it is small and while well equipped, the kitchen is tired with chipped units, fridge held together with screws and utensils, cutlery, dishes and pots etc needed washed before use. The television was unwatchable due to an extremely annoying buzzing noise, although fin when watching a video. While not bad value the cottage needs some TLC.

The property is excellent but the access is poor given the unmade state of the road and big holes full of water and the rear of the property needs tidying up- bit like a scrap yard. This is more a problem created by the owners of other cottages. We also managed to work out the TV.

Ideal spot for exploring the local area, spotted red squirrels in the Dunardry forest. Lovely views over the the canal, watching various boats glide by. Problem with shower quickly mended, everything we needed was great.
