It is perfect for walking and cycling, with keen cyclists able to recreate routes used in the Tour de Yorkshire. A 10-minute walk down hill will take you to vibrant Holmfirth, home to shops, bars, cafés and restaurants in abundance, however a word to the wise, the roads back including the driveway to the cottage are steep and not for the faint hearted. Digley Reservoir and Holmfirth Vineyard are both around a 10-minute drive from the property and further afield you’ll find attractions for all interests within easy reach. These include the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The Hepworth Gallery, Nostell Priory, Salts Mill, Bronte Parsonage and Harewood House, all within an hour’s drive, as are the cities of York, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.
