At Tavaners View enjoy a romantic couples get away with lovely views across the surrounding countryside in this cosy rural property.

Set in the hamlet of Frome Vauchurch, just south of Maiden Newton, this spacious, self-contained annex lies next to the owners’ home and enjoys lovely country views. This is a great location for to explore Dorset and the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast just 10 miles away, with all its wonderful attractions. Visit Weymouth, 12 miles away, with its quaint character shops and miles of sandy beaches. The county town of Dorchester is 9 miles away with its museums, shops and restaurants. At the Cerne Abbas chalk giant, and further up to the quaint abbey town of Sherborne, you will find plenty to do, with the superb walking country and local village pubs to wine and dine in. Within easy driving distance you can also venture into south Somerset and visit Forde Abbey and Gardens, Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum and for the classic car enthusiast, the Haynes Vintage car collection. Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    Very nice surprise ,this cottage is well fitted out could not fault it , bedroom very quiet large bed nice and firm got four very good nights sleep ,bedroom furniture was great you could call it 3 x double wardrobes worth and still a lot of room ,bedroom walk in shower overhead shower head also a small shower head handheld for kids ,lounge 2x sofas Sky TV ,kitchen very well fitted out with about everything you will need for your stay ,great views from the lounge and kitchen small enclosed garden ,owners are very welcoming ,no traffic on the lane it just serves the 10 houses and a farm . Location is very good for all of Dorset very central road links very good also train station within walking distance ,petrol station and local shops very handy . Overall a great find ,we would book again

    Lovely place to stay and owners very friendly. Village location with great local walks and easy access to a number of small market towns and to Dorchester. Will book again in the future.
