Tarrel Lodge is single-storey, wooden, detached holiday lodge situated in open countryside just 2 miles from the charming seaside village of Portmahomack. Accessed via a private track amidst open fields it provides peace and tranquillity in a lovely setting. The main living area is open plan with the kitchen and dining area being well-equipped with plenty of room for up to five guests. The living area is warm and welcoming with fantastic features, such as gas fire and deep leather suites. There are three good-sized bedrooms and a shower room. The generously proportioned decking that surrounds the lodge provides an ideal spot to sit and drink in a hammock and admire the uninterrupted views across open countryside. The village of Portmahomack has a superb sweeping sandy beach, with stunning views to the Sutherland Mountains beyond. The village also boasts an excellent seafood restaurant, pub, café and a lovely traditional links golf course which is open to visitors. The area is renowned for its archaeological sites and at the nearby Tarbat Discovery Centre there is a fascinating display of Pictish, Norse and Medieval artefacts. Within 10 minutes’ drive lies the oldest Royal Burgh of Scotland. Predominantly built local mellow sandstone, Tain is a charming historic town and offers an excellent selection of small shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs as well as a wide variety of sporting and recreational facilities, including tennis courts, public gardens, golf club and bowling club, all of which are available to visitors. It is ideally located for exploring the whole of the Highland region. Golf available nearby. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
