We arrived at Tara House an hour early but Liz, the owner had everything ready for us anyway. The Kitchen was fitted out with everything you could possibly need and nicest of all, a pint of milk was left waiting for us too. It was really cold on the island but the heating worked well and we were nice and toasty. The house was immaculately clean but nicest of all it seemed like we were in the middle of the countryside, but in truth, the main road was only a short drive away. All you could hear at night was the birds singing, it was so peaceful. I have no problem in recommending Tara Cottage to anyone!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Tara Cottage is clearly described as a wing of the Owners house and the pictures show that the rooms have the characteristics of a cottage with a cottage style garden. The property is accessed down my long drive. Visitors also have the choice of using a neighbour’s farm lane and this other lane does get muddy when the weather is very wet. It is the farm lane that this visitor is complaining about rather than my own drive. They had the misfortune to stay during a week of extremely heavy rain. Regarding the comment about cleaning, if on this occasion my cleaners let me down then I am sorry. These visitors did not mention this at the time of their stay. I met with them the day after their arrival when they were out walking their dog and enquired if everything was OK and they said it was. Clearly, if there had been an issue about the cleaning, they could have told me or contacted the cottage holiday company and I would have gone in immediately to sort it out.
