In a peaceful rural setting

In a peaceful rural setting close to the glorious North Cornish and North Devon coast, these two Scandinavian-style holiday lodges (refs 50280 and 50281), which are part of a group of five, offer the perfect escape. Offering a good standard of accommodation, they sit within a slightly wooded area in a tranquil rural setting of several acres of grounds, on the border of Cornwall and Devon. About ½ mile from the popular village of Bradworthy with its historic church, thriving village inn and good selection of village shops. The wide golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are just 10 miles, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks along with town amenities and a great selection of bars and restaurants. Visit Tamar Lakes, just 6 miles, where you can enjoy coarse and trout fishing, sailing, wind surfing, canoeing and lovely lakeside walks. An ideal holiday base with coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, fishing, horse riding and cycling all on offer close by. Just a short drive to the coastal villages of Bucks Mills, Clovelly and Hartland. For family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Everything you would need was supplied. Nice and quiet area and friendly locals. The down points were the beds and sofas felt damp when in bed or sitting in the lounge area in the morning or evening making it uncomfortable to relax or sleep. We had to put the heaters on to help with the dampness which in turn made it uncomfortably warm as the weather was not cold enough for the heaters to be on. Some of the sockets in the bedrooms didn't work when the heaters were plugged in so we had to use an extension lead causing a trip hazard. Having the heaters on also runs up the electric bill you have to pay at the end of your stay. Dead bugs and spiders and cob webs under the beds and behind the head boards. First appearances were good but not so good when looking a little closer.
