Activities in the area include coarse fishing, golfing, equestrian activities and many festivals such as New Ross Piano Festinewval in September. If you dare, Ireland’s most haunted house, Loftus Hall, is located in New Ross and open for guided tours. Visit the seaside town of Tramore to a enjoy a day at the amusement park, or take part in the variety of water sports available. The wonderful Saltee Islands would make an excellent day trip, and the medieval city of Kilkenny with its historical castle and boutique shops is well worth a visit. Within easy reach is Ireland’s oldest city of Waterford, just 12 miles away, and a little further afield Wexford town offers a myriad of shopping, dining and activity options.
