Lovely cottage, it's truly a home from home-complete in itself! Absolutely loved our stay at Taigh an Tuah.

Wonderful holiday with husband and mother-in-law for a week in June. Weather was absolutely fantastic (for once) and we had sunshine every day without a drop of rain, unbelievable! The cottage was first rate and it is the second time we have stayed there so we knew what to expect this time. Lots of space to relax in, fantastic views from most of the rooms, love the sun lounge, wish we'd had more time to sit and enjoy the views, but the weather was so good we had to take advantage of the great outdoors! Love the area, been many times and never get tired of it. Coastline on both sides of Sleat is scenic, great sunsets to be seen on the west coast at Tarskavaig and Tokavaig, looking across to the small isles. Broadford is about 8 miles north and has a great Co-op which stocks pretty well all you need. Loved the new Community Centre at the top of the hill on the main road which is new to us. Great café there for coffee and light bites and super views out from full length windows. Useful exhibition space and post office and shop attached for essentials. The Eilean Iarmain Hotel and it's neighbour the An Prabam Bar are good for food being very handy for the cottage. The gardens at Armadale Castle and Gardens are delightful to wander around, very peaceful and colourful and there is now a nice café there, run by the same people who own Deli Gastia in Broadford. I could go on.....

Beautiful position overlooking the Sleet. Watching the ever changing, light, sun, mist, clouds and rain over the mountains and the water is wonderful. The “cottage” is very comfortable, well furnished and in superb condition, kitchen is very well equipped and all we needed was there. A bonus was hearing and seeing the sheep and Heeland Coos A fabulous week and the average weather could not dampen our spirits. The drive to the house is steep and would not be easy for someone with walking difficulties but that would be our only negative comment
