Had a lovely holiday in Snowdonia. Location of the cottage was just below the slopes of Snowdonia so ideal for those walkers who were adventurous enough to climb up it, and was very quiet with little noise except from the sheep and the wildlife. The cottage was within 10 to 15 miles of the main towns (Bangor/Caernarfon) where they were a range of supermarkets including a Waitrose in Menai Bridge and a M&S Food in Bangor but nothing close by without a good walk or a short car ride. When we booked, we did not realise that there were two other cottages at the location although this was not a problem, as one cottage was not attached (2 bedroom) and the other cottage (1 bedroom), which was attached was well insulated so heard little noise - they probably heard more from us !!! Hot tub was a nice addition especially after a busy day and the kids seem to like it more than the adults. The cottage was comfortable with enough chairs (kitchen) and sofa places (lounge) for our party of 6 / 7. The outside seating area was limited with a picnic bench provided so 6 on there would have been a squeeze and no other chairs available. The back garden is fenced (low fence) but due to recent rain, it was a little boggy so had to be careful otherwise one wet dog in the cottage, which was not ieal. Welcome basket was a nice touch and facilities in the cottage included a cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and dryer, which were all great, and very well used. There was just one shower in a wet room (downstairs) so there was a queue on occassions and would have been better if had been able to mop out after use (no mop provided - maybe we should have asked for one). Bathroom upstairs was spacious. The master bedroom was large spacious, with a sofa chair in the room. The two twin rooms were adequate in size. Overall, a lovely cottage in a nice location, the owners were friendly but not intrusive, and provided us with extra towels on arrival for the hot tub and extra sheets in week two when we asked for them. Cot bed and High Chair also available, which was great. Plenty of car park spaces. As we are no seasoned walkers, we won't be back to Snowdonia in a while but that is no reflection on the cottage. Local roads in places are a little narrow especially for larger cars so watch out for the local bus drivers (yellow bus) who are a nightmare !
