The accommodation was ideal for us as family - clean, comfortable, spacious and suitably equipment - bearing in mind we are coming out of 18 months of covid and bearing in mind it is a listed building due to its age and it has a thatch roof .

We had a lovely week. The cottage was unlike anything we had stayed in before because of its age and it’s rural location. The cottage was very well equipped and despite some COVID arrangements was very comfortable. The gardens were amazing and the amount of space inside incredible. In our opinion Some of the decor needs to be updated or refreshed as in some rooms it was a little tatty and marked, the furniture was old and looked like a cobbled together from different houses. On arrival the large living room and dining room smelled fusty and damp. There were lots of flies and the heating was not very efficient. A new pair of scissors and a garlic press would be good in the kitchen. The building is old and so may be the smell is due to that. Please note we loved our stay and would book again if the decor was refreshed and heating fixed.

We loved the cottage and the beautiful gardens. It was spacious, well equipped and worked really well for us as a family. We liked the village and the peace and quiet but it was still central to go places. I would recommend the cottage.
