Spotless on arrival, beautiful location, owners very welcoming and relaxed. Was nice to see so many animals. exactly what we had hoped it would be. Everything had been thought of, the only thing that might improve the experience is a full length mirror to check your appearance. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Syddyn Fach , very quiet and secluded location, nice welcome pack left by owner. We had a few issues with the cleanliness on arrival but after pointing them out to the owner he apologised and they were soon dealt with.

Cottage was nice inside but did have very low ceilings in places, nice welcome pack left by owner, however we were a bit confused by the instructions in the cottages information folder saying dogs were welcome but had to be kept out of lounge area, the cottage is open plan so this was impossible. Lovely area and beautiful location however owners house had a lot of clutter lying around. The cottage has been done very well so although it's behind the house it's very private and has a lovely patio area to relax on.

The cottage was not easy to find but the directions were good and we had no real problem. The out of the way location is great for getting away from it all but you really are getting away from it all. Comfy and modern furnishings were all in good working order. If you like castles you will love going down the steps to the bathroom. All in all a quirky little getaway that would be even better if a window looking out onto the great countryside views could be built into the room above the kitchen somehow.

Had to wash dirty glasses on arrival, fridge was not working, coffee machine need to be de-scaled, bathroom dirty, the water pressure is very low. There was not enough equipment to cook, only 2 saucepans and a frying pan. The steps to the bathroom are very steep and uneven, particularly tricky at night. That said the location is lovely, secluded and private

Wow wow wow!!! Simply the best place we have ever stayed in. This place will not be for everyone as there is not a pub in walking distance but that really doesn't matter as it is a place to relax and forget about life. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to our return very soon.

We enjoyed our stay in Syddyn Fach which was central to many places of interest. It was excellent value for money and our dog was made welcome but the stone steps down to the bathroom were very difficult to negotiate, a handrail would have been helpful

Great property - If you are looking to get away from busy day to day life then this is the place to do it, cosy, warm and dog friendly. Surrounded by beautiful countryside to take long, quiet walks in and ideally located to visit amazing beaches and castles too We would definitely stay again if ever back in Wales :)

A lovely remote cottage but definitely not for those who want to have a village shop or a pub within easy walking distance! We would have scored this higher but there were a few things that really let this cottage down. On arrival, the outside sofa and table were dirty with a bucket of cigarette ends from the previous occupants on the decking area. The water pressure is non existent. It will take 45 minutes to run a bath and do not even try to use the toilet or run a tap elsewhere at the same time! The taps on the main sink and shower are wobbly: not too big an issue for the first couple of days but after 5 days it got a bit tiresome. The woodburner was not working particularly well. The logs provided were damp (not ideal for our first night) but even when we bought our own supplies, the burner smoked alot and it took ages to get anything to stay lit. It's a real shame as the cottage could be a wonderful escape but I think a few repairs and better cleaning on arrival are needed to make this a 9 or 10/10.

Lovely place to stay the owners home is literally ten steps away which may put some people off but it didn't bother us at all. The cottage itself was lovely and very well equipt. the only issue we had was the water supply, for example you wouldn't be able to wash your hands if someone is in the shower and the shower power wasn't really the best, especially if you have long hair, you'll be standing there for an hour before getting your hair clear of shampoo:), overall though the place was lovely and would for sure visit again. I was disappointed I couldn't get the fire burner going because that would have really been a bonus. Thank you Syddyn Fach
