You can hire bikes locally, there is a great cycle trail from Bissoe to Portreath or Wadebridge to Padstow. The area is rich in history Tin and Copper was mined locally and remnants of this can be found in the area, The Flat Lode follows part of the rail of the Basset Mine Tramway used to carry tin ore from the mines. You can do the circular walk or take the cycle route. Heartlands is a visitor attraction and Mining World Heritage Site, is a great day out for all ages.
