Llanidloes is situated only 2 hours’ drive from Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and Cardiff, with the national rail network running close by. These three detached houses (refs UK43215, UK42318 and UK42319) are available to rent on a self-catered basis and are ideally located for groups looking to explore some of the most dramatic, unspoiled and storied landscapes in Wales.
The homes have been built to create comfortable and pleasing spaces for friends, families and anybody else looking to spend time in this part of mid Wales. Each house has been individually decorated with the layouts remaining the same, and offer four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Another winning element of these properties is the garden, where guests can enjoy an enclosed area with outdoor furniture. The lovely bi-fold doors lead out into this area, making it the perfect social space for everyone during the warmer months.
For the adventurous, the properties are perfectly situated for easy access to Hafren Forest and Llyn Clywedog, a manmade reservoir formed by the construction of the Clywedog Dam. The lake is amply stocked with brown and rainbow trout, the management of which and the fishing rights are the preserve of the Llanidloes Angling Society. Sailing on the lake is run by the Clywedog Sailing Club. Both organisations hold numerous competitions and regattas throughout the year, and visitors are always welcome.
Explore the Cambrian Mountains, a wild and empty plateau lying between the Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks. Llanidloes itself has a lovely community atmosphere, with some great independent cafés and restaurants. There are some interesting craft shops, a museum and library too. Plus, the national trails of Glyndwr’s Way and the Severn Way also pass through Llanidloes, offering fantastic opportunities to enjoy the countryside if you’re a hiker or cyclist.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 24 guests.
