Christmas 2018 was the second time my husband and I have stayed in Sweet knoll and we absolutely love it! (If we could buy it we would without any hesitation). It was once a stable but has been VERY tastefully decorated into a beautiful country retreat for two. Although attached to the owners house Rosalind and Paddy leave you to your own devises and never disturb you but are always on hand with a warm, friendly and cheerful 'hello' should you ever need them. Downstairs has the original stable floor and solid beams and comprises an open plan living/dining/kitchen area of a very good size for two people and a good size bathroom again very tastefully decorated. Upstairs is a very large double bedroom which is absolutely beautiful and has a solid wooden bed, large solid wood wardrobe and a HUGE cupboard so plenty of storage space. Beautiful tapestry wall hangings decorate the walls of the bedroom and stairs. Sweet Knoll is set in beautiful countryside with scenic views and walks from the front door. It is situated along a quite lane with the only other traffic being the owners of Sweet Knoll and the farm a few hundred yards further along the track so is very peaceful and quite at nights We feel as though we have 'come home' as soon as we walk in the front door. As I mentioned earlier this was our second visit to Sweet Knoll and it certainly won't be the last as we are planning to revisit not once but TWICE during 2019. We would highly recommend this property.

Really enjoyed a quiet location and gorgeous cottage. Did the trick and it was a late booking too! Definitely return as loads more to see and do in the area.
