Set in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is a collection of contemporary homes from home designed with relaxation in mind. Within an easy drive from sandy beaches for those bucket and spade days, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is home to two and three bedroom properties. Each one has an impressive décor and the kind of features that make you want to spend as much time as possible catching up close to home, from kingsize beds, Juliet balconies and lake views.

With Somerset’s gentle canals to one side and a private fishing lake to the other, we can’t really think of a more idyllic setting for some time out with your favourite people. Close to the little village of Huntworth near the Somerset Levels, our Lakeview cottages and lodges are perfect for those of you keen to explore the area on foot, and for those days when you’re happy not to venture far from home you’ll find the communal gardens make just the space to unwind in the sun.

From the moment you arrive and step into the stylish living space, you’ll be planning lazy days making the most of the patio and communal gardens and cosy evenings recovering from long walks in the surrounding countryside.

Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay in touch with those back home, and you’ll find Freeview, a DVD player and CD player for those times when you’re content to stay close to home and catch up over a bottle of something bubbly. The master bedroom’s always a welcome sight to those in need of some time out to recharge, thanks to its stylish kingsize bed and a Juliet balcony, perfect for admiring the views before turning in after a busy day.

With the Taunton-Bridgwater Canal just a short distance away, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it’s time to pull on your walking boots and set about exploring the area on foot, and there’s even a well-stocked fishing lake that welcomes anglers with valid rod licences.

Very well equipped and comfortable modern house. One or two small moans like rear patio and bathroom shaving lights not working. Fishing lake is a nice backdrop with lots of geese and ducks. Disappointed with the choice and standard of local pubs for food. Bridgwater is a working town with nothing to attract. Further afield, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Minehead, Lynmouth and Linton are all beautiful and the closeness to the M5 means you can get moving fast. Overall fully enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic accommodation. Immaculate and very well equipped. Lovely views over the communal garden leading to the lake. There was nothing more that we could have wished for. Amenities are a short distance away in Bridgwater. We all had a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend. On site fishing great for less experienced anglers with lots of small roach and rudd, great for children.
