This place is a real gem, the couple are really lovely people and they have a “sharing shed” which has everything you need and they are kind enough to lend out. The facilities for the kids are great and the barn had a great open plan kitchen/lounge with good size bedrooms although watch out for the beams but this is the whole barn feel. We had a great family holiday and would definitely return.

Great holiday, well equipped, slept 7 of us comfortably with extra bed available had there been 8. Only marks down I gave it were for cleanliness. It was very tidy when we arrived but was quite dusty. Would definitely stay again though

We built a short break around my daughter having to sit exams at the Horticultural Correspondence College nearby. The cottage was excellent for our needs and although the weather was really cold we managed one morning of sightseeing around Bideford. We enjoyed just spending time in the cottage reading as the living room was light, spacious and warm. The cottage owners were accessible and very helpful and they welcomed guests with a superb lemon cake and a bottle of Cava!

Cottage has every thing you need. You definitely need a car to get to local amenities. Games room is nice little extra along with play area outside. Cottage is very spacious and perfect for families with children. Kitchen equipment could have been a little cleaner but that's my only fault. Lovely place.

Great place to stay would definitely stay again. Just a shame there isn't 2 showers in the property. Lovely welcome from the owners.

The owners are fantastic but and here is the big but, it was awarded 4 stars 5 years ago and it's now looking dated and in need of work. The shower room needs returning desperately as there is lots of mild in the shower, cob webs on the mirror and dirty windows has no excuse. Damaged flooring, cooker hood was greasy. Worst of all, the beds are really uncomfortable and one double squeaks so bad when you so much as breath, my wife and I slept in the single beds. A holiday is supposed to be relaxing and if you can't relax in bed, it's already on a losing battle. The owners do try hard to offer everything they can but the place needs updating and should be no more than 3 stars and half the price currently.

Great cottage with very accommodating hosts. Downstairs space was good, with a well equipped kitchen. Washer and drier on site. Facilities for children are brilliant with a separate play area, large grounds and purpose built toy room. Within 20 minutes of Bude and a choice of several beaches, which provided great family fun and relaxation. Only issue was bumping heads on sloped roof in the bedrooms.
