We really enjoyed our stay at Swallows' Nest. The cottage is equipped with everything you could need; it is cosy, comfortable and clean. The downstairs room with its tiled floor was very handy as a place for our dog to dry off after riverside walks. We also had access to a paddock at the property. The owners were pleasant and helpful - it was the first time we had been properly shown around a holiday cottage and we were made to feel very welcome. The extra goodies were much appreciated. Swallows' Cottage was a great base for exploring the area and we did some fantastic walks. We would definitely return.

Wow what a fantastic cottage, spotless, everything provided that you could think of, even games and dvds. On arrival we had a welcome card, bottle of wine, cake, milk, coffee, tea, sugar. The towels are very fluffy, bed very comfortable. Hosts Martin and Diane explained everything were very welcoming and friendly, they left you alone but were on hand if you needed them. A very cosy and comfortable cottage. The village is just down the road if you need bread, milk etc. Really do recommend this cottage.

Swallows Nest is a beautiful property and has been completed to a very high standard. We enjoyed a relaxing break following Christmas an over the New Year and it was a pleasure to 'come home' to our warm, welcoming cottage after a day out visiting nearby towns and villages. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack provided by Dianne and Martin was much appreciated. The bathroom is attractive and spacious and retains lots of character, however we found that the low ceiling and beam above the bath restricted the option of using the shower attachment if a shower is your preferred choice.

Second time staying here. It's such a nice place (especially around Christmas) so cosy! So many nice touches throughout the property and lovely hosts. Looking forward to another break there next year.
