An amazingly quiet retreat. We had a lovely weekend at Dairy Cottage, ponies in the field opposite the cottage and chickens that wandered past every morning. The orchard was in full bloom and the cuckoo called out one morning. If you like studying the stars then this is the place for you as no light pollution. We would definitely return as we had a really relaxing time.

Situated in a lovely spot on a farm, looking out on to tree-lined horse fields and with chickens running loose, you get a real feeling of peace and tranquillity. Perfect if you need to get away from it all for a few days or so. We were left to our own devices and that suited us. The cottage was clean and comfortable, huge bed, modern kitchen and bathroom with a great shower, largish lounge area where you have use of a big settee, tv and DVD player. My only quibble would be that the settee is a little uncomfortable as it is very low, too soft and the seat cushions aren't fixed so tend to get pushed forward but its horses for courses and we used the chaise instead. The yard directly outside the door is a lovely, paved area and would be great on summer evenings or when weather permits. Will definitely return at some point.

Lovely cottage, cosy bedroom, great bathroom, enough kitchen facilities to cook with, and quaint lounge/diner area. No WiFi but Ethernet available instead.
