A beautiful cosy cottage with a enclosed paved back garden which was brilliant for my dog. Good area for dog walks and easy walking distance to two pubs and a lovely cafe called The old School House, well worth a visit. Very easy drive into Derby city centre.

What a gorgeous little cottage in a beautiful village. We stayed for a week whilst building work was going on at our house and, even though we were only a few miles from home, it felt like we were somewhere completely different. The local pub (The Stanhope) was nice, the walks were lovely as was the church and coffee shop.

A lovely little cottage, very clean with a good level of equipment. The sitting room is cosy with a comfortable sofa and chair and the kitchen is light and airy opening onto the rear courtyard garden. The bathroom is a very good size and well decorated. At the time we stayed, there was building work being undertaken next door but there was no noise and it didn't impact us. The village is very quiet with a couple of pubs but no shop. Close to Ilkeston and about an hour from Bakewell in the Peak District. We enjoyed our 2 day stay at the cottage and would recommend for a couple as there is only one bedroom. Pets are accepted and we had our small dog with us.

The cottage was comfortable. 2 of the main things we want are a comfortable sofa and a comfortable bed. This cottage had both. It is well situated, not being right in the centre of town but not far outside and well located to get to other places. The cottage had everything that we needed and as we wrote in the visitors book if we needed to stay in the area again this cottage would more then likely be where we would stay

The cottage is certainly cosy and the central heating keeps it nice and warm. The kitchen is well equipped but a slightly larger toaster would have been helpful. We were also a little surprised that there was no soap. Not a major issue but most cottages we've booked over the years provide it.
