A place of peace & calm but only a few miles from the bustle of Malven. We used the property for a well needed away break, to help with continued recovery from long term illness & a lovely place for a family rendezvous. Everything was just right and even the beds were very comfortable...a first for us. We loved seeing all the birds, squirrels & badgers and even saw a flying owl on one evening. Definitely a place to return too & we shall certainly visit again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your lovely review and as for peace and quiet we have plenty of that also wildlife and walks, even at night on a clear night too look up at the stars without light pollution is fantastic and again the calls from owls lovely. Come again; love to see you - Mike & Sue.

Stubb Oak is the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. Everything was as described in the brochure and perfect, immaculately clean, furnishings were first class and very tasteful. There were so many extras provided, even down to spare reading glasses should you break your own. Too many extras for me to mention, no negatives at all. Badgers appeared every night on the patio to eat the food so kindly provided by the owners, amazing to see. There were many species of birds on the feeders including Woodpeckers, Great, Blue and Coal tits, Goldfinch and Nuthatches to name but a few to eat the bird food provided. A few cheeky squirrels also made an appearance on the bird feeders now and again. The large garden was ideal for our grandson and two dogs. We congratulate the very friendly owners on providing such an exceptional cottage and a warm welcome when we arrived.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for such a wonderful review. As you say the wildlife is out of this world with the birds and badgers, everyone has been overwhelmed by their visits. Let’s hope they keep coming, as for the fittings we try to ensure that we try to use the best to ensure your stay is something you will remember and hopefully come back in the future.

    Wonderfully relaxing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I agree the cottage is very relaxing, no noise from vehicles on roads being at the end of a country lane, plenty of walks around and views out of this world if you want to get away from it all it certainly gives you that. Thank you for your review and hope to see you again in the future. Mike & Sue.

Absolutely fantastic place to be. Everything has been thought of. Very well equipped. Comfortable and modern. So relaxing to sit watching the world go by in the garden. So many birds and the badger visits at night just added to a great experience. Good dog walks nearby and others a short drive away. Would go again.

Highly recommend this lovely bungalow. It’s been tastefully extended and is modern, clean, comfortable and bright. The owners who met us on arrival were welcoming and helpful. The bungalow is so well equipped and furnished, everything has been thought of. Bedrooms are nicely decorated and have lovely comfy beds. The bathrooms are so clean and modern. The big lounge diner at the rear backs onto a beautiful enclosed scenic garden complete with bird feeders outside the lounge window so you can watch the birds, what a delight. We even saw badgers which came at dusk outside the huge bio fold doors. Lots of places to eat and also walks which give you the most fabulous views if you don’t mind the climb! Don’t hesitate to book this you will not be disappointed, we didn’t want to leave and will love to return in the future.

We had a great time at Stubb Oak. The place is at a perfect spot with a large enough garden for the kids to run around and play, walks starting at the doorstep, close enough to larger cities and still in a very quiet place on the edge of Colwall Stone. The Malvern hills are close and the surroundings in general are beautiful. The house itself is extremely well equipped, clean and spacious. The very friendly owners put in a lot of effort in the rebuild to make this a really nice holiday home.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your lovely review. The gardens were designed with children in mind for safety also pet friendly nice and big and open, then there’s our field a walk on the wild side to encourage the wild life and it works. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves and we are always open to suggestions to add or improve things, love to see you again.
