This is the second time we have stayed here, the last time being 3 years ago. The house feels just like home, and I can relax well. The feel of the property in its isolated location is ideal for anyone wanting to get away from it all. There are ideal walks in the area, and you can just leave your car where it is and do many walks with beautiful scenery. If you want to leave the world behind in a place home from home, then this place is ideal.

We had intended to have our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren with us but they couldn't come. It was just as well as the arrangement of the bedrooms would have been difficult. There was a twin room which had access through one of the single rooms, not good when you have friends staying with you. There no mention of this in the details. Although the property could accommodate 8 people there was a two slice toaster! One of the drawers in the kitchen was inaccessible, because the cooker was in the way. The general cleanliness was poor, cooker really dirty and cobwebs and spiders everywhere. The grass at the rear of the property has only recently been cut and the path was covered in cuttings, so had to sweep up to stop bringing it into the house. There were very few power points upstairs, and no mirrors on the walls, not easy to dry hair! There was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk, and the nearest shop 10 minutes away, we were glad to only stay for a weekend.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. The property description gives clear details of the bedrooms. Upstairs, the double room, twin room and single room are individually accessed from a wide landing and the additional single bed is placed on this landing. Downstairs, there is a bedroom with full-sized bunk beds. I think most people would consider a two-slice toaster to be perfectly adequate. A drawer in the kitchen has limited access due to being next to the cooker, but there are several other drawers. I am surprised to hear that the customer thought the general cleanliness of the property was poor, I clean the property personally and have had no other adverse comments, if the customer had contacted me perhaps we could have resolved this issue. The grass had recently been cut but due to the wet weather it had not been possible to remove the grass. There are power points in each bedroom upstairs and on the landing and there are also mirrors in each bedroom. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. This is a rural property and the description does state the distance to the nearest shop.

Very quiet which suited us but with great places to visit within easy reach. The accommodation was fine.
