Booked for my daughter's hen do. Great rural location, peaceful and private. Very well equipped and modern. Would make a lovely weekend in the country break.

The cottage itself is lovely but it is in the middle of nowhere which would suit some but we like to be able to walk to a pub and have walks near the accommodation but the walks are limited as there is a lot of private land around it. It says it sleeps 6 but it is really only 4 unless you have teenagers who are happy to climb a very steep ladder. Whilst the cottage is charming I don’t think it’s 4 star, I have stayed in much better 4 star accommodation. It really needs a bit of TLC. A little welcome gift such as cake or wine would have been nice and there is no visitor book either which is unusual. This cottage is managed as a business together with several other properties that surround it and unfortunately I think it’s a business that needs some improvement.

Spent a friends 40th at the cottage and it was a lovely get away from it all. The cottage is quaint and situated in a very quiet location (no shops but both Salisbury’s and Tesco will deliver). Even though the weather was mild the cottage was warm all the time. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. For sleeping 8 it is a little “cosy” especially as the last 2 are on a sofa bed in the living room which sleeps 2 at a push. And one bathroom for 8 women was a challenge but overall, we all loved it and would love to stay again.
