Lovely cottage, very clean and welcoming on arrival with a welcome pack of goodies for us and some treats for the dog. The log burner was a real plus as it made the cottage so warm and cozy at this time of year (Dec 2019) and the bed was very comfortable too. The village is only a couple of minutes walk although the local pub has recently closed down which was the only drawback to what was a lovely weekend break.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your glowing review - we are pleased you are enjoying the log burner :D

Lovely converted Victorian train station. Very comfortable place to stay. The log burner was a nice feature with clear instructions and the welcome pack was perfect. Do go for the walk to the church as the scenery is amazing.

A brilliant cottage, tastefully converted from a Victorian railway station. Beautiful gardens, lovingly maintained and - a bonus - overlooking the village cricket pitch where a match was underway when we arrived. Inside our apartment was spacious and bright and airy. It was spotlessly clean, the white towels were fluffy and soft and the bed linen on the comfortable beds was bright white. There was plenty of good hot water and all equipment one could possibly need. Angie and John were friendly and helpful without being intrusive and quickly dealt with the small problem we did have when a popping bulb tripped the lighting circuit fuse. A very pretty village with interesting history which we enjoyed looking around and the location was very good for exploring this part of Yorkshire. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Beautiful converted old train station, the garden is very relaxing to sit in. Angie & John were very welcoming & helpful promptly when we asked them anything, but also have a good balance of privacy. Attention to personal detail was lovely, e.g. home made dog biscuits. The kitchen was very well equipped. Overall very impressed and will return
