This holiday apartment is part of Staffield Hall, a wonderful Victorian manor house with amazing views of the Eden Valley.

Dovecote is part of Staffield Hall, located in the wonderful Eden Valley, a tranquil part of Cumbria, close to both Carlisle and Penrith, and also Hadrian’s Wall, the Northern Pennines, the western fringe of the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Borders. Staffield Hall is a Victorian manor house which is split into 8 apartments over three floors (refs 30600, 30601, 30602, 30603, 30604, 30605, 30606, 30607).
If you are looking for a romantic retreat for two, this second floor apartment, which was once occupied by the maids of a bygone age at Staffield Hall will not disapoint! As you enter Staffield Hall, this stunning building will blow you away with its grand entrance and beautiful stain glass windows. Take the stairs to reach this charming apartment which boasts bright and airy living accommodation with wonderful characteristics. Access to the shore side of Lake Ullswater at Pooley Bridge is only a short drive away, with Keswick and Lake Derwent Water along with Lake Buttermere being only a further easy drive away. The picturesque unspoilt villages of Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Lazonby and Great Salkeld are all close by and they each offer amenities for you to enjoy. Local shops and tea rooms, as well as great pubs and restaurants abound. From Staffield Hall, guests can plan a multitude of activities to do from cycling to fishing, walking to ballooning. The choice is endless. Shop, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.

    Lovely location very quiet and unspoilt. 10 miles from M6 but you would never know. Apartment is small but enough for our needs and had all the equipment we needed. Can walk to the local pubs but it is across fields so bring your walking shoes. Would stay again if I was in the area
