We had a lovely week at the cottage and the children really enjoyed the pool. The cottage was cosy and warm and in an location ideal for families, walkers, adventure sports and fisherman alike. The owners were very pleasant and friendly the couple of times we saw them, so thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely holiday at Stable Cottage. There are lots and lots of things to do within an hour's drive, (especially if you like outdoor activities such as walking, bike riding, etc,) or plenty to do if you want something closer. The children loved the swimming pool and spent large amounts of time in there. The cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped and the location is beautiful. A good place to take children at any time of the year. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. We have booked another week next year and are looking forward to returning!

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location, swimming pool close to cottage was great and well enjoyed! (changing room floor extremely slippery when wet!) owner is on site but not intrusive - we saw her only on arrival and once in the courtyard on the way into the pool with her 3 lovely dogs. Cottage was clean on arrival, however a long handled sweeping brush would have been handy to use throughout the stay to keep on top of cleanliness. The cottage would also benefit from some new knives, teaspoons and a new kettle (we had to boil water in a pan as the kettle water tasted odd!) didn’t affect our stay, we managed absolutely fine! Plenty of space and storage for a family of 4 to enjoy the cottage without being cramped. Lovely farm shop down the road, worth a visit before you arrive at the cottage so you have the essentials to make a brew when you get in!

We had a really enjoyable stay over New Year at Stable Cottage. It is very roomy, important with a 3 year old in the party. The owner is friendly and helpful and gave us local ideas of what to do. We had a small problem with the heating on the first night and having reported it, it was dealt with really quickly, with extra wood being given to us for the wood burner till it was fixed. The cottage then was really warm with very efficient central heating that kept us all toasty. The grounds are great, with a beautiful tennis court and plenty of space for walks. The pool too is lovely, but unfortunately we found it too cold to use at this time, though from the book it seems it is warm sometimes. Overall though it was a great place to stay.
