Stable Cottage was one of the nicest self-catering cottages that we have ever stayed in. Mary the Owner was friendly and helpful, as she also had to run a farm and look after her ill husband. We enjoyed some nice chats with her too. On our arrival Mary gave us a very good introduction to the cottage, and showed us how everything worked and all the safety aspects. The cottage was clean, cosy, warm, and very well equipped. In a good area for touring, walking, sight-seeing, and bird-watching. Good area for food too. The Anchor in Little Downham is an extremely good place to eat. Wicken Fen, Welney, Sandy Reserves are all nearby.

One of the best cottages we have every stayed in: spotlessly clean, well equipped, internet was fast. Well situated to use as a base for exploring the area. A warm welcome from Mary (the owner) when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.
