Enjoy a relaxing holiday surrounded by countryside in these barn conversions (refs 17192, 18398 and 19819), which have been decorated and fitted to a very good standard. They are situated on the owners’ working arable farm, and guests are welcome to use the footpaths crossing the farmland. Take a few steps back in time to the year of 1193 AD when you view the abbey ruins, once bustling with French monks. During the dissolution of the monasteries, Henry VIII had many stones removed from the abbey to build his fortifications at Deal and Walmer. Follow in the monks’ footsteps, (today a 20-minute car journey), and take a trip to Canterbury. Dover is 5 minutes’ drive, ideal for day trips to France or to visit its castle and admire the famous white cliffs. The properties are perfectly situated for walking and bird watching, with several good sandy beaches close by. Monks & Flint barns are adjoining. Barn is detached. Beach 4 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub 2 miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 19 guests.

Absolutely wonderful family week. Local pub great Chinese delivered and Sainsbury’s. Day trips to Canterbury and port Lympne zoo. Barn was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Brilliant for a family week away lots of places to visit in surrounding area. Trip to abbey ruins onsite was interesting but only if like me you like historical things! Would thoroughly recommend a visit

Nell’s barn is very comfortable and well equipped with modern bathrooms. There is a safe garden for young children and walks over the fields straight from the door. However there was no shop or pub within walking distance, which would have been a bonus.

Nell’s Barn was perfect for our group of 8 adults. It was equipped with everything we needed and having 4 sofas was excellent. It’s nice to be able to all sit together in comfort. Would highly recommend.

Three generations here together - all had a really relaxing stay in a very comfortable, well appointed barn/house. Plenty to see and do locally. Plenty of shops locally to pick up groceries etc. We had a great time and would definitely look at returning to the property in the near future.
