The cottage in itself is cosy, beautifully furnished and easy to find, very clean and suitably equipped. It’s only few minutes drive to Pocklington which is a nice little town to visit with friendly people. The TV provided in one bedroom didn’t work as aerial wasn’t working properly but as we were out during the day, it was not a problem. We like to visit historic houses which were within an hour’s drive from the cottage so we had a lovely holiday overall. Castle Howard, Helmsley Castle, Harewood House, Beningborough Hall, Clifford’s Tower and Yorkshire Air Museum were very interesting to visit. Stamford Bridge has also got lovely dining places.

This is a lovely cottage in a quite peaceful rural location. Very comfortable and extremely clean. The equipment provided - glasses, plates, cutlery, mugs etc - is first class and the owners have obviously gone out of their way to ensure that everything you use is good quality. The beds were great and we all had a good night's sleep. The shower is excellent too. The lounge is comfortable to relax in and the dining table in the kitchen seats 4 comfortably but is big enough for 6. We didn't use the garden chairs but I can imagine sitting out in the secluded garden on a summer's evening would be very relaxing. Milk and biscuits were provided by the owners which I thought was a nice welcoming touch. We would definitely stay here again.
