We are lead to believe by the owners that this will not be continuing as a holiday cottage. So any remarks dont really count. However, it took us umpteen messages left on their 2 mobiles to make contact and that was because I kept phoning and it was not until Thursday pm that |I had a reply. We were beginning to seriously believe this holiday was not going to happen. I was then informed that the bath was leaking so there would be no bath. If we had not stayed in this cottage before we would not have been very happy with this situation. The cottage itself is very comfy and has all that it required for a good holiday.

We stayed at the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very spacious and was more than big enough for a family of four. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The kitchen had all the equipment/utensils you could need. The only disappointment with the property was that there was an issue with the bath and we couldn't use it. This wasn't ideal with two young children but couldn't be helped. The location was great, a short drive from Sherwood Forest and Rufford Abbey and about 40 minutes to Nottingham and Lincoln. Slight downside there wasn't a local shop within walking distance but there are two supermarkets within a few minutes drive. We really enjoyed our time in the cottage, it was very comfortable and we felt right at home. We'd definitely stay again if we were looking for accommodation in this area.

This cottage is a joy to stay in. The outside of the building belies the character that you will find inside! Highly recommended, I hope to return myself, one day

A beautiful cottage in a very central location for touring. One of the best we have stayed at. Although in a small village there is a good bus service about 20 yards away, an excellent hotel/restaurant 30 yards away, and a superb Italian restaurant 30 yards away. Tesco supermarket in new Ollerton, 3 mins by car. A completely relaxing holiday. Will be back in the spring!
