This property is part of our Welcome Cottages collection

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Just 3 miles away from the north Cornwall coast, this wonderful annexe is in a great location to visit quaint coastal villages.

St Faith’s House is a lovely annexe adjoining the owners home. The property is located in the little village of Woodford, just 3 miles to the nearest beach at Duckpool along the dramatic north Cornwall coastline, and just 1½ miles from the 13th century pub at Morwenstow. A lovely rural retreat for a family or couple looking for a quiet spot close to the coast. The master bedroom is accessed via an open tread spiral staircase, and has super views across the countryside. There is so much to see and do in this area. The coastal path is close by and the stunning beaches of Duckpool, Sandymouth and Northcott Mouth are further down the coastal road. In the seaside resort of Bude there are sandy beaches at Summerleaze and Crooklets, and the dramatic Widemouth Bay is a little further along the coast. All of these are excellent surfing beaches. The property is also well placed for the A39 to take you south to places like Boscastle and Tintagel, or north to the Hartland peninsula and Clovelly. St Faith’s House is only a 15-minute drive from the Milky Way Adventure Park and the Aqua Park. Golf, fishing and horse riding available nearby. Beach 3 miles. Shop 3½ miles, pub 1½ miles, restaurant 7½ miles.

Both me and my partner took our youngest children here for our first joint holiday with them. We had a fantastic stay. St Faiths is a beautiful place to stay in and my partner commented to the owners he would love to buy it. St Faiths is spotlessly clean and tidy and well equipped. Helen and her husband are extremely friendly and welcoming and thoughtful leaving us fresh scones cream and jam,as well as milk, tea, coffee and sugar. They also loaned the children wet suits which made their time in the sea all the better. Would whole heartedly recommend a stay here and hope to go back ourselves next year.

Set in the heart of the most beautiful country side, St Faith's is a beautiful holiday home, an annex of the owner's own home, it has been modernised and comfortably designed to meet all your needs. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys and were more than adequately comfortable in a good size kids room with large bunk beds and a wonderful double room in the roof with spectacular views over the local, sheep filled countryside. The living room is cosy and comfy with a TV, shelves of books and dvd's for all ages and a cupboard full of games for nights in. The kitchen is fully equipped with the all the crockery and cutlery you could ever need, including a microwave, hob and oven and a freezer in the hallway. The bathroom is clean and modern with a large shower and heated towel rail. There is a separate dining area in the conservatory to the side of the property which is perfect for breakfast and evening meals, although if the weather is good I recommend opening the doors and windows as soon as you can as the temperature in the conservatory is unbearable in the sun! The whole property is clean, comfortable, well thought out and tastefully decorated. On arrival there were fresh flowers in the hall, milk, bread, home made scones, jam and cream, butter, tea and coffee and eggs in the fridge from the owners chickens. All very thoughtful little touches that mean your holiday gets off to a very happy and easy start. The only minor draw backs are that the washing machine is shared with the owners and you need to arrange a time to use it with them. We ended up not using it as we felt slightly awkward about entering the owners property and as we were out all day we didn't want to bother them in the evenings. The other slight difficulty is the spiral stairs up to the roof bedroom, they are extremely steep, narrow and open spiral stairs that squeak and move when you use them, fine during the day but annoying at night when it sounds very loud in deed! We were fine on the stairs but anyone with a disability or mobility issue may find them rather difficult to use.

Booked as a last minute getaway and this was an ideal location. The beaches were amazing and all very close. The owner certainly makes you feel right at home all the basics were there. We arrived to home made scones and cream. It was our first holiday taking the dog and he loved the special treats left for him. The garden was enclosed so you could totally relax. Would certainly revisit
