As you approach the property along the sweeping driveway, guests will love the picturesque setting and it is perfect for a rural escape. Laid out in reverse-level style to take advantage of the views, head down 3 steps and enter via the ground floor where there are three bedrooms, each furnished with a zip and link super kingsize bed (can be setup with twin beds if requested). The first bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the other two share the family bathroom. The stylish living room looks out to the countryside and is well furnished with a cosy wood burner, a 60-inch Smart TV with Freeview, Sky Plus, an Xbox, DVD player, a guitar, speaker and two large corner sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed that can comfortably accommodate two guests. The kitchen/dining area is a brilliant space for preparing a meal and has sleek quartz surfaces, two ovens, a steam oven, built-in microwave, dishwasher, American fridge/freezer, induction hob, coffee machine and a slow cooker. In between the kitchen and living room is a WC and a cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. Bath robes have also been thoughtfully provided.
The two-bedroom family suite on the first floor is accessed via the kitchen and is perfect for accommodating two adults and two children. The first bedroom has a super kingsize bed with an en-suite shower room, leading into the second bedroom which has a single bed with a pull-out trundle bed and an en-suite bathroom. The nearby hamlet of Woodland is conveniently located halfway between Exeter and Plymouth and the property is a 10-minute drive from the charming town of Ashburton, full of Georgian architecture, quirky shops, restaurants and pubs. Ashburton is a splendid gateway to Dartmoor with its tors, rivers and rugged landscape and is also an ideal base from which to explore the whole region from moor to sea with fantastic scenery and opportunities for walking, canoeing and fishing.
