The cottage is not very clean, except beds. Cottage is cold and clammy, although Kitty, the owner, heated it in the evening. There's electrical heating, too, but if you put it off, its cold again. Electricity is to pay per coinmeter, which was announced, price is ok, also for extra heating. Living room is little and not cosy, looks uncared for. Kitchen only equipped with the inevitable equipment. Although it was not very cosy, we slept really well in the good beds. The location is really good to find and good for discover beara. Supermarket next 23 km (theres one in 11 km, which has only the necessaries). Fuel next also 23 km.

Response on behalf of the owner; I was sorry and very upset to read your comments. On cleanliness- I pride myself in having the cottage spotlessly clean and it is well cared for. What a pity you didn't say this to me during the week you were here. I met you several times and we could have discussed it. Heating was the only thing you did mention and I put on the oil heating and reminded you to put on the electric heaters- there are 5 of these and they could be left on. The fuel station is not 23 kms, it is only 10 kms and has a quiet sufficient shop there too. Again I am very upset by these comments as I'm always very helpful to my guests.

Excellent accommodation. We were made very welcome especially on our arrival. Lovely little apartment next to the owner's property. Good walking, wildlife and places to visit. This area of Ireland is beautiful and not too overrun with tourists.

Excellent holiday, Kitty and her family made us very welcome. The views from the top of the Healy Pass nearby were outstanding. We enjoyed Beara Island, Castletownbeara, Kenmare and the whole Beara Peninsula.
