Within four miles take a ride on the Churnet Valley Steam Railway or visit Rudyard Lake for walking, sailing, fishing or canoeing. Alternatively for walking and climbing don’t miss ‘The Roaches Rocks’ on the southern uplands of the Pennines. A little further afield Biddulph Grange Gardens, Whiston Hall Golf Club and the famous Alton Towers theme park can be found. At Froghall Wharf in Stoke-on-Trent you can take a canal boat trip on the Cauldon Canal or visit the world famous Wedgewood Potteries visitors centre. Cottage was in need of a good clean and lots of TLC. The garden was in poor condition, overgrown and no love given to it! Weeds and leaves not been touched since winter, decking a health hazard, tables broken and dirty and not able to sit out and enjoy sun during our stay, bbq is unhabitable, jacuzzi was not working the second day. Inside the house however was fairly clean, the beds were extremely clean and comfortable, Windows need good clean, showers work well and the size of property was a bonus, party room was fab, including the decs and LPs we had a good time, space raiders and machine not working and both took money entered. Overall we did have a good time but for money paid would have expected the garden to be a lot better and use able, if the above were looked at then I 100% would return as it is in a lovely location

The cottage has the potential to be the perfect holiday location. However, the house is very run down and there is a sewage problem, with there being a constant bad smell. All the kitchen equipment needed cleaning before using... the pictures are very flattering but show what potential there is

Fantastic. Loved the house, plenty of things to do in the local area. Only tiny bit I'd recommend is updating the sky box. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. We will see you again soon.

Very tired and not very clean, staining to bed linen, cobwebs all over. Dangerous lamp in bedroom (plug broken) Hot-tub unusable due to high level of chlorine causing burning to eyes within a few minutes holes in living room floor, piece of glass found on floor by my 9m old - narrowly avoided putting in mouth

Great games room. Place just needs a ‘deep’ clean and the smell from the drains needs sorting.
