Beautiful property set in stunning surroundings. The owner was available and very friendly should you need her. The property especially the showers are great. The views are amazing, there is a courtyard set above the cottage with photographic views. You have your own parking spot close to the property which was great as my mum is disabled. It is very close to Glastonbury and Wells and other great tourist destinations.

A lovely holiday home, airy, warm and well presented. Although dogs are welcome there was no enclosed garden and they have to be kept on a lead, not a major problem and we were free to explore the grounds of the country house. Well situated to visit a lot of places.

Although fairly comfortable the overall impression was it needed some TLC. There were only wall lights and table lamps in a very tall room so it was very difficult to read on the dull days of December and virtually impossible in the evening. Really needs a decent standard lamp. There was chipped and crazed crockery and only 4 mugs for 4 adults, defeats the provision of a dishwasher. The pillows were awful, flat and lumpy and sleep was difficult with a large green fire alarm light in the bedroom area, like sleeping in green daylight. The bathrooms were very nice and lovely and warm but no bath mat - the showers over the baths splashed and made the floor wet, dangerous to step out of the deep bath. One toilet roll for each bathroom seemed a bit mean. The was plenty of room and the surrounding grounds good. The town was only a short walk away and a good bus service meant the car could be left behind most days.

Beautiful, peaceful location, perfect for visiting Wells, Lytes Cary Manor & of cause Clarkes Village. Mrs Stephens said hello during our second day, checked we had settled in okay. Couple of criticisms would be the toilet paper......nowhere near enough supplied as mentioned by others, but I was prepared for that situation. However I wasn't prepared to have to clean mirrors & toilets in both bathrooms. Sorry if it's just me, but they weren't cleaned properly. Also whilst the bed linen was clean, beds weren't well presented. Pillow cases & duvet covers at least should be ironed. The bed linen and the pillows look to be nearing the end of their life and should be up dated before next season.
