Description

On unspoilt Border country, with Ellesmere close by, and Llangollen with the International Eisteddfod a short drive.

Two delightful cottages in the grounds of Grade II listed Sodylt Hall, carefully modernised and furnished, and equipped to the highest standards. Both enjoy a totally rural outlook in the unspoilt Border country close to the River Dee (fly fishing available) and the Welsh hills. Visitors enjoy shared use of the Hall’s grounds, which are delightful in springtime, and there are lovely woodland walks. Ellesmere 4 miles (boating lake). Shrewsbury, Chester, Ironbridge and Snowdonia, all within easy reach. Llangollen (International Eisteddfod), just 20 minutes’ drive. Shops 2 miles (open 7 days).

Furnished and equipped to the same exacting standard as The Lodge and immensely spacious. Outstanding views down over the River Dee to the Welsh hills beyond and to the superb gardens of the Hall, a large part of which are available to guests. Modern fitted kitchen. Dining room. Large, light sitting room with open fire. First floor: Double bedroom. Twin bedroom. Single bedroom. All bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. A spacious farm cottage on a beautifully kept farm estate. We very much enjoyed our stay in a nice quiet area of Shropshire.
