We had a 2 night break in early April, when we arrived the cottage was cold and took a long time to warm up, there was a fabulous welcome basket of biscuits, scones, fresh bread.. a very nice touch. Lovely location, great pub over the road. Overall a pleasant stay.

Our 2nd stay at Snowdrop cottage.Nice little cottage in a handy spot for visiting York and the North Yorkshire Moors.Didn't think the kitchen seemed the cleanest and the dishwasher needed some salt in as it didn't clean the load properly. The bath is quite slippery and could do with a rubber shower mat and a bath mat to step on to.The wood burner was nice though and the cottage is very quiet.Nice pub across the road.

We would stay again in the spring or summer but the heating was very noisy and woke us up twice . Would not go back in the winter

I really can’t fault this little gem! The cottage is really cosy and really welcoming with tasteful finishing touches. The owners left a lovely welcome basket with bread milk wine and local biscuits. The Christmas decorations were a lovely surprise. The village has a lovey pub and although we didn’t eat there over Christmas has a really good reputation for good food. The property is a short walk from the Castle Howard estate that has lovely grounds to walk round and the house can be viewed in season. I would defiantly stay in Snowdrop Cottage again.
