Beautiful location owners lovely. Photos on website deceptive...is a lot smaller in reality. Poorly equipped, problems with heating and shower. Wet room was tiny. Such a shame. Sorry to say...we won’t go back.

On arrival we we disappointed with all the building rubbish around(not materials) plastic sacks and odd bits of wood etc. The garden was really scruffy and the furniture was broken. Inside the cottage was clean and tidy but smelt very damp! There was no storage area for coats and boots, or clothes. The wet room floor stayed wet all day so to use the loo you got wet feet. Also the drain pipe from the hand basin leaked. The towel rail was right next to the toilet so if on, would burn your leg! And the view of the sea was none existant from the actual cottage as was stated. Neighbours in cottage further down had a dog which constantly barked and howled.

Ridiculously small wet room which smelled of dirty drains when we arrived. During the first night my husband went to the loo and discovered that the floor was wet, coming from the toilet end. Owner, her builder and plumber all maintained it was condensation. I’m sorry, but condensation does not smell like that. We had to mop up the floor several times a day, and were mopping up not just water but bits of debris. After 4 days the smell and constant cleaning was too much and we left early. On top of all that, it is very difficult to wash your face in that sink; a swivel tap would be a much better idea. There is no loo roll holder, so the loo roll has to sit either behind you on the cistern or on top of the heated towel rail. Not convenient for those with back problems. There is no shower caddy so toiletries have to be constantly tidied away. The wet room is barely wider than the toilet, with the heated towel rail mounted alongside I burned my leg several times (Couldn’t turn it off because we were told to leave it on to help with the ‘condensation’). The skirting board behind the bed was thick with dust, as was the headboard end of the bed frame. The cross members of the dining chairs were in a similar state. The storage basket under the bed is a necessity as cupboard/drawer space is limited, but when I pulled it out it brought out a huge clump of old hair/dust. To say there’s a sea view is taking things a bit too far as the only way to see the sea is to stand at the door and look between the half refurbished barn 8ft in front of the door and the neighbour’s house. You can’t even see the sea if your sitting in the cottage because it’s behind you. Similarly, there is absolutely no view of the sea when sitting in the garden. On the plus side, all the towels smelled really nice.

Response on behalf of the owner; Sorry but a builder and plumber both looked at this wet room issue, and could find no problem, leaking or smell, neither could I. In fact the only smell was of the wet rags left in the bathroom for their frequent drying. I will just add there had been no problems for guests prior to these guests, and no problems since.

Great cottage, at first you think small but everything goes somewhere and snug. Great location for walking, footpaths everywhere. Would recommend the North Inn for great curries

A lovely compact cottage with everything you need for your stay, we had brilliant weather and the cottage was the perfect location for walking and visiting beautiful coves and beaches, the owners were helpful but not intrusive.

Wonderful, clean cottage in a great location. Only a 10min walk to 2 different pubs both serving a great selection of local food and drink. 10 min walk to coastal path too and from there all sorts of wonderful places to explore! Would also recommend the coastal open top bus (which stops in the village) as this was a great way to get to St Ives and beyond if you fancy leave big the car behind. All in all an excellent compact cottage with everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday. Those sunsets each evening were so magical , this is certainly a special place. We’ll be visiting again for sure !
