Located just 5 miles from the lovely small market town of Dulverton, West Hollowcombe Farm is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and its woodland is over four-hundred years old. Set in the glorious Exmoor National Park landscape the valley views are to die for! Smiddy provides the perfect romantic getaway or holiday destination for a small family. It is a lovely cottage that is tucked away on this beautiful site where three other cottages can be booked together when available. It benefits from an open plan living space on the ground floor with some exposed beams and stonework, a cosy wood burner, and a Smart TV, and the kitchen area has everything you’ll need for your stay. On the ground floor is one of the bedrooms; a twin/super king with an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is galleried and accessed via a quirky spiral staircase. The property has a patio, a barbecue and there’s a large garden too. You can explore the grounds of West Hollowcombe Farm, taking in the stunning National Park Surroundings.
There is also ample on-site parking. Exmoor National Park is a walker’s paradise. Or, if you’re more of an energetic type, you can run, cycle, or indeed simply relax with a picnic and at night enjoy the amazing site above that is the magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’. The park also has abundant wildlife, including ponies, sheep, and red deer that graze the open moorland, and overhead you might see falcons, buzzards, and even the rare merlin.
The area is also perfect for exploring North Devon as a whole with all its attractions such as the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages like beautiful Lynton & Lynmouth and stunning cliff-top sites such as Valley of the Rocks.
