Great place for location. Many nice touches but missing basic stuff like a proper frying pan and a missing clock battery. En-suite could do with some new parts as a couple of things were worn out and the shower flow was rather poor. Heating good and the place was wonderfully quiet and private. Overall a nice place for a week but no longer.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry these guests were unhappy with some features in this property. All the fixtures in the en-suite are fully functional and operating correctly, although we have no control over the water pressure. Not everyone wants a working wall clock when they are on holiday, particularly if it has a loud tick. - it is just a decorative feature.

It’s a great base for visiting mid & north Cornwall. Lovely accommodation & lovely owner who is there if you need anything but never encroaches on your privacy.

A lovely cottage in a great location to access tourist attractions. Very well equipped and in good condition. Unfortunately the lack of water pressure and temperature control in the shower made having a decent shower impossible. Also having to stand outside for a WiFi signal was a negative as main router is in main house. Overall a good experience and some nice personal touches but probably wouldn't go back due to negatives above.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Unfortunately, we have no control over the pressure of water supplied to the property and this was probably a temporary reduction due to the sustained period of hot weather experienced this summer. The barn is a converted redundant agricultural building that was constructed many years ago with locally sourced stone and granite - these materials can affect signal strength and coverage.

This cottage although isolated from the main thoroughfare, was excellent and comfortable to stay in. It was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The idea of the lounge and kitchen dinner up stairs on the first floor was well planned. The main bedroom was had its own bathroom/shower, and there was another bathroom on the same floor. The owners who lived opposite were very friendly and helpful. There was a large garden at the rear and plenty of car parking space. I would recommend this cottage for any family and would want to stay there again.

A very comfortable clean barn in a very peaceful location. Ideally situated to explore the delights of Cornwall. The wifi isn't the strongest.

Well equipped, clean and comfortable. A friendly welcome from the owner, together with a welcome pack including fresh flowers. Set in a quiet little hamlet just off the Atlantic Highway within 15 mins of Camelford (for shops, petrol, fish and chips etc) Tintagel and Boscastle. The only downside, the water pressure was unreliable, went off a couple of times, second bathroom needs a shower and the WiFi was not good, we were unable to connect, not good when you have an internet business to monitor. All that aside we had a lovely comfortable stay at SkiberSpar and we would recommend it.

Excellent cottage and spacious. Lovely garden and decking area to sit out and enjoy alfresco. Plenty of wonderful places to visit. Dave and Jean made us feel very welcome and the complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were really appreciated after a long journey from Derbyshire.
