Just a stone’s throw from Wales’ largest natural lake, this lovely property makes a great base for exploring the area. With plenty of space and a delightful conservatory, there are views from the first floor lounge out towards Bala Lake, or to give it its Welsh name, Llyn Tegid, where kayaks and yachts are available to hire. A little steam train, Bala Lake Railway runs along the shore of the lake to the village of Llanuwchllyn. The town of Bala itself has a range of individual shops, cafes and pubs which are all within walking distance. The National Whitewater Rafting Centre at Treweryn is a short drive away, whilst the picturesque drive over the mountain road to Lake Vyrnwy makes for a lovely trip. The sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay are just a 45-60 minutes’ drive away.
