This detached family home stands within extensive lawned gardens and is conveniently located for the local amenities of the delightful village of Brockenhurst.

Having been thoughtfully reconfigured and enlarged, this spacious, detached home offers fantastic areas for entertaining and gatherings, in particular the magnificent open plan kitchen/family/dining room. This impressive space forms the ‘heart of the home’ and has been fitted with a range of excellent contemporary units, quartz work surfaces and a central island/breakfast bar, with porcelain tiled floor. The dining area is set under a glazed atrium with mood lighting, and there are bi-folding doors to the beautifully maintained garden and sitting-out area, making this a very enjoyable space all year round. An ice maker and chilled water dispenser in the kitchen completes the picture!
There is a large entrance hall that leads to the spacious living room, which has a feature granite fireplace with an open fire, and there is also a utility and separate toilet on the ground floor. On the first floor, the galleried landing leads to a stunning master bedroom with French doors and a Juliet balcony, which overlooks the grounds. There is also the added benefit of an en-suite bathroom and dressing area. There are two further double bedrooms (one with a single sofa bed), as well as a twin bedroom and family bathroom.
Silverhayes is close to the popular golf course and is about a 10-minute walk to Brockenhurst’s shops, pub, cafés, and amenities. Slightly further afield is the mainline station and further pubs, cycle hire, bakers, butchers and Post Office. It is a thriving village with a lovely community feel, and where you can often see the roaming cattle, donkeys and ponies sauntering along the streets.
The ever popular New Forest National Park is a haven for ponies across the heathland, and there are extensive scenic walks, cycling and riding routes. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages, all year round. The popular sailing town of Lymington is only 4 miles away with yachting facilities, pretty harbour, cobbled pedestrianised streets, boutiques, eateries and pubs, and day trips to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight ferry. Other places of interest include Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Marwell Zoo, Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park, New Forest Owl and Otter Park, and Southampton with its maritime history, to name but a few. This property is also within easy reach of many beaches, including Mudeford, Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth. For the outdoor enthusiast, enjoy walking, golf, cycling, horse riding, swimming and sailing. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    We had a lovely family holiday with 7 adults, 2 children and a dog. This house had plenty of room for us all with an enclosed garden for the dog and children to play safely. It was ideally situated to explore the surrounding area, most places only a 10-15 minute drive away with lots of places to eat nearby and shops within walking distance. The only negative I can think of is that the twin room is only really suitable for children and not adults, but that is also the choice you make when booking. I would book here again.

    the only thing is the futon bed chair should be a proper chair bed its too low to sleep on ...other than that a lovely house

    The home was exceptional. I really struggle to explain just how lovely it was. There was ample space and well thought out features. We had 5 children from various families, and all felt comfortable, relaxed (and the kids were safe!). It is a truly lovely place, and one we look forward to returning to.

    We had a fabulous time at Silverhayes. The house is a real home from home, well equipped and very comfortable. Gerry is super friendly and helpful and left us a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated.

    The perfect house for a large family get together; especially when it rains like it did for us. The owners are very friendly and when we had difficulty finding the house to start with they made us feel quite at easy and made sure we not only found the house but could have phoned back at any time with any problem. The large glass coffee table in lounge was dangerous though as not easy to see if you are visually impaired like me and would tip when lent on by a toddler. It was extremely wet and muddy while we stayed; so it was a challenge to keep house clean as entering the house the hallway is carpeted. We loved the luxury family room with it's ice draw, dishwasher, separate drinks fridge etc and practical flooring and fun lighting.

    We all had a fantastic time in such a beautiful cottage, it had everything we need. The kitchen and dinning room was our favourite room it was just stunning. Location was just perfect with everything for the family.
