This is a truly get away from it all location, where crab and lobster boats can be seen sailing from the small harbour. Enjoy beachcombing and sea fishing and relaxing at the harbourside. There is a clifftop walk taking in spectacular views on the way to the bustling fishing port of Eyemouth. Burnmouth lies close to the many attractions this beautiful area has to offer; visit Berwick-upon-Tweed and Holy Island with Lindisfarne Castle on this glorious coastline. Further inland there are the historical border towns of Jedburgh, Kelso and Coldstream under the Cheviot Hills all well worth a visit. There is a local pub on the outskirts of the village serving food, and shopping for everyday needs can be done in Eyemouth or Berwick-upon-Tweed. Access by single track road. Sandy beach 2 miles. Wonderful holiday with friends in a wonderful setting. What a magnificent comfortable place to say. The only reason we downgraded on the equipment was because it was a little difficult having only one item per person of everything. But..... don’t let that put you off from a superb place. Great having the owners next door for advice and their local knowledge.

This is the second time we have stayed and would love to stay again. It is a beautiful and restful place to stay. The owners John and Heather could not be more helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend shoreline cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at Shoreline Cottage. As a family of 4 it was a spacious cottage that suited our needs. Beautiful views over the harbor and lots of exploring on the rocky shoreline when the tide went out. The house had everything we needed and a great dining table to eat at and play games (and the view over the sea!) John and Heather were great hosts and it was good to know they were close by if there had been any problems. The local area has lots to do.

We had a wonderful time, the cottage was a home from home. The people that was in the cottage before us passed a comment that there was no blind in the bathroom there is it is in the window the same as the bedrooms. We had the most wonderful time which was made even better with the most wonderful people John & Heather. Learning about his experience as harbour master & watching the boats in & out harbour. To show how much we enjoyed our holiday we booked 3 weeks for next year as son as we got home on the Saturday now starts the long countdown to next year look forward to seeing you then John & Heather. This location is perfect, the reason I have put 5 for local amenities is because there isn't any but for us that was great. We choose a cottage as far away as possible from pubs and shops. We would rather drive to them but can understand it is not what a lot of people would want. We put 8 for comfort because we don't like leather sofas, I spent all week trying to stop slipping about, again some people would call that a plus. It was clean, there is everything you could want , except a blind for the bathroom. Although it faces the sea it would feel more comfortable, we put a towel up to it. The reason we would not go back there is because we don't like to be close to the owners, we feel as if we are been watched. You don't know where the owners live until you get the directions etc. by then is to late to change.
