Shells is an ideal base from which to explore the mountains of Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula or Anglesey. If you like to get out and about in all weathers, at any time of year, this could be your affordable base in the heart of coastal north Wales, everything is on your doorstep. Bring your bike with you, or enjoy sea fishing, water sports, walks through the valleys and mountains - this is an all-round good choice for family holidays and romantic weekends away. There are a few cafe’s and a Fish and Chip shop within walking distance and the community pub just up the road. Caernarfon is just 6 miles away, with its impressive castle, Unesco World Heritage Site, Waterside Doc area and Art centre, also many independent shops and restaurants within the winding streets. If you’re looking for a day out, maybe join the Welsh Highland Railway steam train in Caernarfon or go up to Snowdon on the Mountain Railway. However, it’s far more rewarding to walk if you can as the seats are quite hard and if its foggy you don’t see much of the view, but it’s still fun if you take a picnic. The opportunities are endless for a wonderful break any time of year.
This property can be booked with Pebbles (ref QC1753), Waves (ref QC1754) and Sands (ref QC1755) to accomodate up to 13 guests.
