A good base for the Cotswolds. Can be difficult travelling each morning due to heavy traffic, in the rush hour.

I enjoyed a lovely holiday at one of the best cottages I have ever stayed in. It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped with ample parking space. The cottage is well situated four visits to many of the delightful Cotswold villages and. A bus runs every 20 minutes to Cheltenham from nearby Bishops Drive.

We have just had our 7th stay in Sheerwater. We have been using it as a base to look for a permanent home in the area. We have now found a property so may have had our last stay. However we would definitely recommend Sheerwater to any friends who wish to stay in the area. It is central for exploring the Cotswolds, warm and comfortable and our dog was also very welcome. The neighbours have been very helpful answering any questions about the local area. Thank you to the owners and staff who keep it so clean. We also found the dog walking area which is near by very useful.

This is the best cottage I have stayed in.The most notable element was that the cottage contained many little extras other cottages don't have.Excellent.

The bungalow was very nice, well equipped and clean but was not very dog friendly in as much as to get into the garden you had to go out onto an open driveway and through a gate into the garden so a dog had to be kept on a lead to go out as the road was very busy especially at school times when everyone was dropping off and it was like a rat run. The field nearby was very good for letting dogs run but no countryside walks nearby and car had to be used to get to amenities.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner-Thank you for your comments. We allow dogs without charge but do not actually cater specifically for dogs. From the back door to the garden, it is a distance of about 5 feet. The drive is over 150 feet long down to the gate. Regarding the road being busy I don’t recognise this as it’s a no through road and exceptionally quiet. Previous guests have said how quiet it is and how well positioned it is in the countryside for walks. The property is in the lower foothills of Cleeve Hill and walking maps are provided.
