The downstairs of the property is dark & dingy. No welcome pack to advise how to use heating or lighting. The cooker is so old that the numbers have disappeared for saying which ring you are using and the temperature. Stairs between kitchen & lounge have rounded chunks of wood over them making them slidy & a trip hazard. You have to walk through dark lounge to locate the light switch, many switches on the panel which do not seem to be connected to anything. Only one light fixture on stairs then you have to walk through upper lounge to bedroom to get a side light at bed as no bulb or switch for ceiling fitting. Low ceiling height upstairs, I am only 5ft 4 & bumped into ceiling. Lamp on deck hanging off wall. No hot/cold indicator on any of the taps. Bath hot tap would not turn, plumber had to be called. Only a two seater sofa in lounge which is ancient. Only a two seater chair on deck - this property is advertised for 3. Garden grounds not kept, over run with weeds. Downstairs full of dusty junk, dark rope put around everything, the ceiling, shelving even the toilet roll holder - dust catchers everywhere!!! Lounge windows not cleaned. The best part was the view and the open access to the beautiful clean beach - the locals were so friendly & helpful. Many lovely walks from the door.

The location was excellent. Parking was also excellent, but the interior of the cottage was tired. The fire grate had a big hole in the bottom. The cooker didn’t work very well. You could not have a shower and have the washer on at the same time. The lighting in the sitting room was poor so I had to read my Kindle all week. Not enough bedding so we were cold on the first night. No welcome pack, a first for us, luckily we had thought ahead and picked up the basics en-route. When we looked through the visitors book the fire grate and cooker had been mentioned. Why had the owner not taken action? I

Just what myself and the wife wanted, perfect stay for Hogmanay, absolutely loved the proximity to the beach , loved the seats upstairs, fantastic bit of decking to look out to sea. Two small points but they could just be my opinions, # I found the mattress far to soft as if it was leaning to one side. # could have done with maybe a 32” tv not that we sat and watched loads “ far from it “ but when we did I couldn’t see the quistions on the chase .lol We highly recommend the cottage and will and have already.
