Four of us stayed for the weekend whilst attending the festival. The house is very convenient for the Red Funnel ferry service to Southampton but it also exceeded our expectations as far as accommodation goes. The sliding doors in the sitting room leading to the balcony were especially welcoming in the hot weather. The house was very clean and welcoming with a well stocked kitchen and lovely (new?) shower room and there was milk, biscuits and a bottle of fizz for us. The twin bedroom was fairly small with no storage space apart from a bedside cabinet, however, there was a large wardrobe in the double room so it wasn’t a problem for the couple of days. A big thank you to the owner who was cleaning when we arrived and allowed us to bag drop and get organised to go to the festival site earlier than usually permitted. This was a huge help to us and very much appreciated.

Comfortable, if a bit small but ok for 4 adults. Located between the car ferry and the chain ferry that crosses the Medina between East and West Cowes, and right at the water's edge opposite the business end of the port of West Cowes; this does mean that it is at times a little noisy but it does mean that you can enjoy all the buzz of the goings on at both ports from your balcony, and can access all the local amenities in both East and West Cowes by foot.

We would give this cottage a score of eleven+ if possible. Very comfortable (and warm in December/January). All you need in the kitchen. Brilliant view from the comfortable settees through the balcony doors over the river - watching the floating bridge and lots of activity on the water. Very clean and very comfortable beds. Clean bathroom with good shower and plenty of hot water. Local amenities excellent - Waitrose and Co-op very close by in East Cowes and lots of shops, pubs and restaurants (incl M&S) just over the floating bridge. The price seems about right so - overall a score of eleven+ !

Clean and welcoming property in a good location. Easy to travel from here around the island without the need to use a car. The ever changing views of the river and passing boats from the open plan living area make the property stand out. The only negative was that the twin bedroom is fairly small.

REALLY handy for Southampton to East Cowes ferry. Literally off the ferry and you are there. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony or in the living room and watching the activity on the river. Our son loved the fact that there is WI-FI and a smart TV. Accomodation was clean and well presented. Bedrooms are small but who needs lots of space to sleep. Small but reasonably equipped kitchen with enough crockery to use the dishwasher every other day.
